Date: Fri, 31 Jan 1997 11:28:39 -0800 (PST) Subject: Contest info. Well, our "Spot a Budding Flower" contest is just zipping along. We had our first entry on Jan.30 from Arnold Sanderson of Coquitlam, B.C. (Vancouver burb for those of you unfamiliar with the lower Mainland). However, his initial, "I have croccusses ( Spelling?) in bloom in front of the house... do I win?", upon questioning changed to, "The crocci are not actually in bloom yet... up but not open - although considering that today is sunny and 14 - they may open in a few hours!!!" Well, we are still waiting for our winner so keep you eyes peeled :) From Howard in Winnipeg, we had this important ruling question: "Does plastic, or flower-like snow sculptures work?" To which we will re-quote the rules: "outdoor, natural budding flower". Howard also had some suggestions for other contests: "Who can still see snow on the highway the longest?" or "Where are real estate prices the cheapest.." Fortunately, I get to choose the contests and that first one is right out :) The second suggestion might not be so bad because I think I might have a fair chance of winning that one. Keep looking, Aaron
