Date: Sat, 21 Dec 1996 12:11:39 -0800 (PST) Subject: Mini Chapter. You can all breath a sigh of relief because this is just a short note, not really a full fledged chapter in the Neuchatel Chronicals. I don't think I'll be attending the 7th Annual Night of the Students, even though it means I will miss the election of Miss Student '97. I'll also probably not go to "La Fiesta" (there's some multiliguistics for ya). However, I'm not sure I'll be able to resist the other multi-band concert because they have a group that plays "Didjeridoo Techno Trance" which, of course, is my all time favourite style of music (well, after Tiffany and Candi, but that goes without saying). Anybody else who can't resist better get their plane tickets soon :) Aaron's lack of age discrimination strikes again. I have noticed on Wednesdays that there are fewer people in the cafeteria. I asked Michel why, and he informed me that the equivalent to senior high school that is beside the university has no classes Wednesday afternoons, and thus, these students don't bother to come for lunch. This implies that the "women" I watch during lunch, under the impressions that because it is a university cafeteria the patrons are university students and who's young appearance I have justified with "women just look younger in Europe" are actually 17 to 18 years old. I'd say there should be a law against such things, but there already is (maybe not here :) Guess what I had for lunch on Wednesday. I really ought to learn the French word for "tongue" so that the next time I order it (which I will because it is quite tasty) I will know what it is before I get back to my table. When I read the menu, all I read is "beef something" and it looks kinda like meat-loafish slices or something, so it never occurs to me that it's tongue until I look closely and see the little taste bud thingies on the edges. Okay, now the real reason for this "chapter" being extra short. I am sending it off ASAP so that I can announce that I have my web page up. It can be found at: http://mediascape.ca/aarons Thanks to the space donated by the friendly folks at Mediascape. So, if you aren't one of the employees, and you happen to be in Toronto (this has just excluded every person on the mailling list except for the wife of the president :), and you are looking for computer stuff, make sure you visit them at 592 Yonge St., just steps away from the Wellesley subway station :) Anyway, have a peek at the web page and enjoy the European life. Salut, Aaron de Neuchatel
